I completed my last works for Indigo Boy more than a week early. I simply could not stop! "The Little Book of Secrets" is the truly amazing result of my ongoing Creative Process, and becomes a "summary" of the entire Indigo Boy. I am so happy with this mixed media artist's book and an apt way to end Indigo Boy I. I will most probably work on this book until hours before the exhibition opening!
"The Little Book of Secrets" is a very naughty, wry, and sometimes cynical look at the complex world of contemporary masculinity. Once again the book is inspired by contemporary society and culture, focussing on masculinity and identity.
Technically the book is a Z-fold in mixed media. There are works on both sides of the book and cut-outs, pop-ups, creative type design and collage are employed as techniques.
This work opens a whole new avenue for Indigo Boy II and III - watch this space!!!
