According to Bly "a whole community of beings is what is called a grown man." Bly identifies seven of these beings in Iron John. He identifies the King, the Warrior, the Lover, the Wild Man, the Trickster, the Mythologist or Cook and the Grief Man.
I will discuss these being in more detail in my next postings. Today's found object sculpture "The Trickster" is my second sculpture for indigo Boy and shows a boy's hand holding the head of a grown man. Once again I wish not want to explain the work literally. Basically "The Trickster" addresses the interesting fact that boys (and girls) are often given to a parent to teach him/her and, not as often assumed, that parents can only teach their children.
This is maybe a beautiful example of a true "Indigo" work, where special children are born into the world today to make a meaningful change.
